Looking to continue your IQA journey?
Following on from the success of the QNUK level 4 Award in Understanding the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice (RQF) webinar series, a number of those who have completed have requested that they can continue on to unit 2, so that they can complete the full QNUK Level 4 Award in Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice (RQF).
What will I Learn?
Having completed unit 1 (understanding) either with QNUK or another Regulated Awarding Organisation, you have demonsrated your knowledge of the IQA process.
Unit 2 allows you to develop and demonstrate your skills as an IQA.
By the end of the course (18/12/2020), you will:
- Be able to plan the internal quality assurance of assessment
- Be able to internally evaluate the quality of assessment
- Be able to internally maintain and improve the quality of assessment
- Be able to manage information relevant to the internal quality assurance of assessment
- Be able to maintain legal and good practice requirements when internally monitoring and maintaining the quality of assessment
You will have developed a portfolio of evidence to show your competence as an IQA.
Pre-requisites
This unit is aimed at those over 19 years of age. Learners should be able to work at level 2 numeracy and literacy.
All attendees should be able to provide evidence of their completing of unit 1 (Understanding the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice)
Course structure
This is a practical based unit. To achieve the unit you will need to:
1. Attend the induction webinar. This is live virtually on Tuesday 16/07/2020 at 10am. A recording will be available 24 hours later for those that cannot attend the live event.
2. Build your portfolio of evidence related to the planning and undertaking of IQA activities. Requirements are here
3. Submit your completed portfolio by 5pm on Friday 18/12/2020

Does this give me the IQA qualification?
Yes, the "full" IQA qualifications has two units. You will already have completed the first unit, this is the second. On successful submission of your portfolio and evidence of unit 1, we will be able to award the QNUK Level 4 Award in Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment rocesses and Practice (RQF). Here is the qualification specifiation.
What happens if i miss the deadline of 18/12/2020?
Late submissions will be subject to an additoonal £50 marking fee. No submissions will be accepted after 31/12/2020.
Can I take unit 2 without having unit 1
Our aim is that all attendees completing the unit 2 will acheive the Qualification: the QNUK Level 4 Award in Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice (RQF) to do so you must have completed both units. Therefore a completed unit 1 with another AO or have started the QNUK unit since March 2020 is a requirement.
I started my unit 1 with QNUK before 2020 but never finished. Can I complete the full qualification now?
Anyone that started their unit 1 before 2020 with QNUK has now missed several opportunities to submit.
Anyone wishing to restart their IQA journey will need to re-enrol.
I'm not a QNUK centre. Can I get the Loyalty discount?
As mentioned the discount provided is part of our loyalty to our centres. If you are an independent and one of our centres would like to book you a place thats great, but if not the full non QNUK centre price is payable.
