IQA, EQA, both or neither?

As part of our #RaisingStandards workshops, we are offering attendees the opportunity to undertake an additonal qualification at a fracion of the normal fee.

Originally the offer was for the QNUK Level 4 Award in Understanding The External Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice (RQF)

After feedback from centres on bith email and in a "live" Q&A session on our QNUKCentres Facebook group, we have opened the offer to one of the following 4 options, So consider "I would like to add:"

1. QNUK Level 4 Award in Understanding the principles and practices of externally assuring the quality of assessment (RQF) (External quality assurance) (£97.50 +Vat/£200+Vat for inactive centres))

2. QNUK Level 4 Award in Understanding the principles and practices of internally assuring the quality of assessment (RQF) (Internal quality assurance) (£97.50 +Vat/£200+Vat for inactive centres)

3. Both units (£195+Vat/£400+Vat for inactive centres)

4. Neither

FAQs?

a) Which qualification should I take?

This is difficult to answer as everyones needs are different. The first thing to consider is:
1. are you willing to put in some time to complete the assessment work book. This is in your own time. It may take a few days but you have up to 12 months to complete?
2. Do you have a qualified IQA at your centre, i.e. not a freelancer or soemone who has just completed a first aid assessor IQA event?

If you are willing to put in the work but don't have an IQA, that would be your best option.

If you have an IQA and you are looking to start work as an EQA, then that would be your best option

b) what is the cost?

Each additional unit is £97.50 +Vat for an active centre and £200+Vat for an inactive centre.

c) What is an active centre?

An active centre is an approved centre that has assessed and certificated learners on a QNUK qualification in the past 6 months (3 months for recently approved centres)

d ) How will i be assessed?

Each learner will be issued with a workbook to complete. This will be issued on the #RaisingStandards events

This has a number of questions about the roles and responsbilities and the process of quality assurance. Tis will be marked by QNUK shortly after your submission date.

e) I can't attend the #RaisingStandards event, can i still complete the IQA/EQA qualification?

No, the option for the IQA/EQA qualifications is only open to those attneding. Firstly this is a bonus for attending but also this is where you will gather information to support you in the qualification.

f) What about if I book and then dont complete the #RaisingStandards event?
You will not be able to complete the qualification. 100% of the fee will be due.
