Securing and Monitoring Public Events (RQF)

This qualification is the one of the unitary qualifications within the Venue Security & Safety suite, it provides the learner with the key knowledge required to operate within common security infrastructures used to establish a secure environment leading upto and into a venue. Understanding of the various roles, responsibilities and analysis of potential vulnerabilities within these infrastructures increase the learner's effectiveness within an event security role.

Who is this for?

This qualification is for learners who work in a front line role ensuring the security and safety of customers at public events. It covers the gap between SIA licence linked and Spectator safety qualifications, including a wide range of subjects from recognising basic and complex screening infrastructures used at public events, how to operate effectively within a variety of roles and tasks within 'Zone X' and how to monitor for vulnerabilities alongside proactive safety planning are included within this qualification from an operatives perspective.


Pre-Requisites: 

This qualification is aimed at learners 18 years and over.

All learners must have completed the ACT Awareness and ACT Security eLearning prior to attending the course and provide the trainer with copies of the certificates.

It is recommended (but not essential) that learners hold a Level 2 (or higher) SIA or Spectator Safety qualification to help underpin the knowledge within this qualification.


Assessment

The method of assessment for this qualification is by Multiple Choice Examination (MCQ).

As this qualification is regulated in England, the assessments are conducted in English. It is important that learners have reasonable abilities in English language to have a fair opportunity to being successful.
