SIA Qualifications
Qualification title: QNUK Level 2 Award for CCTV Operators (Public Space Surveillance) within the Private Security Industry (RQF)
Qualification accreditation number: 603/7303/9
Description: This qualification will provide the skills, knowledge and understanding necessary for those working, or interested in working, as a CCTV Operator within the Private Security Industry and require an SIA Licence to Practice. The qualification will support a role in the workplace.
Qualification title: QNUK Level 2 Award for Door Supervisors in the Private Security Industry (RQF)
Qualification accreditation number: 603/7302/7
Description: This qualification is intended for learners who work or want to work as Door Supervisors in the Private Security Industry and require an SIA Licence to Practice. This qualification will support a role in the workplace.
Qualification title: QNUK Level 2 Award for Door Supervisors in the Private Security Industry (Top up) (RQF)
Qualification accreditation number: 603/7305/2
Description: This qualification is intended for learners who already hold a Door Supervisor licence and are required to complete the top up training to re-licence. This is a formal condition set by the SIA for all re-licence applications from 1st October 2021. The qualification is available from 1st April 2021.
Please note that a pre-requisite is that all learners attending this course must have either attended a formally recognised First Aid qualification prior to attending, or, hold an existing First Aid qualification which has no less than 12 months validity remaining on the first date of the course.

Description: This qualification is aimed those who wish to learn basic self-defence. Its delivery covers a wide range of sectors particularly those occupations in a customer or service user facing role as well as individuals.
Qualification title: QNUK Level 2 Award in Vehicle Searching (RQF)

Description: This qualification is aimed at security staff involved with the process and operational requirements for searching vehicles when entering or leaving a designated area. Industry best practice, safety and methodology are instructed and practiced as part of this qualification to provide a robust working knowledge and skills required to perform effective vehicle searching.

Description: This qualification has been developed by QNUK to enable trainers who hold the necessary teaching, conflict management and assessing qualifications alongside the occupational experience and competence to be able to deliver the QNUK Level 2 Self Defence training.

Qualification accreditation number: 603/6906/1
Description: Aimed at Retail Managers, Retail Staff, Loss Prevention Staff and Security Operatives working in a retail environment.
This qualification is developed to provide learners working in a retail environment with the knowledge and understanding of how to identify and prevent loss from damage, administrative errors, or criminal activities. This qualification will support a role in the workplace.
Developed alongside industry experts, this qualification draws in retail specific 'best practice' and highlights many existing and emerging methods of reducing shrinkage including insider theft, shoplifting, preventative methods and brand image protection.

Description: Designed by senior leaders within the security industry to provide learners with the essential knowledge and skills to excel in the role of security managers or supervisors. Key skills include: scheduling, site risk assessments, performance management, appraisals, disciplinaries, managing incidents, enhanced searching skills (including vehicles), legislation into practice, team development, TNA, training matrix development and many more.
With a options of desktop exercises or live simulations, this qualification provides and exciting and essential package for anyone looking to develop new skills, refine existing knowledge or make the next step from the basic SIA licensing training.

Description: This is an introductory qualification in its own right but also part of a pathway to the full Level 3 Award in Security Management by providing the first two units for this qualification as approved prior learning (APL) . It has been developed to provide the necessary knowledge and skills for Security Managers or those aspiring to advance their careers within the security industry. This is the next step from the initial SIA licence qualifications to introduce and practice management, supervisory and leadership skills that are required to take ownership of a team and contract effectively. Staff rotas, employment legislation, risk assessments, planning patrols, training needs analysis and many more functions of security management are covered. Holders of this qualification will be able to perform key supervisory or managerial tasks inline with the effective delivery of security contracts at client sites.

Description: This qualification is intended for learners who work or want to work as Close Protection Operators internationally in the Private Security Sector and are required to demonstrate competencies commensurate to UK standards. Please note that this qualification is not recognised by the UK Security Industry Authority as a licence linked qualification leading towards gaining a UK licence to practice.

Description:This qualification develops learner’s basic knowledge and understanding of security management as part of the wider security management concepts and in light of current and emerging criminal and terrorist threats to business. Research skills are developed allowing the learner to explore a range of security management concepts including the role of a security manager, attributes and skills required to become a security manager, security management policies, risk mitigation, information protection and legislation relating to security management. This qualification develops transferable skills that will support the Security Manager in the workplace as well as provide continued professional development for wider security roles.

Description: This qualification provides operational security and safety professionals venue developmental knowledge in securing and protecting public events hosted within venues or comparable external locations.
