Who is this for? This qualification is aimed those who have, or are working with young people and adults at risk who may be exposed to the risks associated with county lines. The qualification is aimed at parents, carers, community members and leaders as well as teachers and education support staff.

Pre-Requisites: This qualification is available to those over 14 years, however deliverers should be aware some of the content may need adapting to this age group.

Due to the language of the assessment, it is recommended that learners have sufficient command of the English language.

Contents include:

  • Definition of county lines
  • County lines terminology
  • Types of abuse
  • Risk factors related to becoming involved with gangs
  • Understanding how to support individuals involved with gangs

Assessment

This qualification is assessed through a multiple choice assessment paper. This can be taken live in a clasroom with an assessor or, if delivered remotely, through an assessment proctoring service.

Progression route: Learners may progress onto additional safeguarding qualifications.
