Who is this for? This qualification is for those that are likely to use a defibrillator. While AEDs are simple to use and the awareness of their use appears in many of todays first aid qualifications, the understanding of the setting up and maintenance is not part of these qualifications.
The QNUK Level 2 Award in Cardiopulmonary resuscitation and defibrillation is the qualification that covers this need.
Pre-Requisites: This qualification is available to those over 16 years. Candidates should be at least a level 1 numeracy and literacy or equivalent
Progression route: Learners may progress onto the following qualifications:
- QNUK Level 3 Award in First aid at Work (QCF)
- QNUK Level 2 Award in Basic Life Support and Management of Anaphylaxis (QCF)
