Who is this for?
The Emergency First aid at work qualification is the choice of many employers to ensure they are meeting the requirements of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations. Where employees are working in higher risk environments where the risk of dealing with a catastrophic bleed is more likely; additional training may be required. This qualification meets that need.
The QNUK Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (Management of Catastrophic Bleeding) (RQF) is ideal for those employers that need to meet the minimum requirement of first aid regulations, but where the management of catastrophic bleeding is a significant risk.
Pre-Requisites:
This qualification is available to those over 16 years.
Due to the language of the assessment, it is recommended that learners have sufficient command of the English language in order to understand the assessment and to undertake the recommended assessment methods.
Attendees will be required to demonstrate First Aid procedures as they would in a real work environment. This includes providing CPR to a casualty who is on the floor, therefore be physically capable of doing so.
Progression route: Learners may progress onto the following qualifications:
- QNUK Level 3 Award in First aid at Work (RQF)
- QNUK Level 3 Award in Responding to Incidents with an AED (RQF)
- QNUK Level 3 Award for the First Person on Scene (International) (RQF)
