Who is this for? This regulated qualification is currently unique to Qualifications Network. It is aimed at those looking to register as Forest Scjhool leaders, who have a current paediatric first aid certificate but need to 'Top up' to achieve the full requirements of the Forest School Association.
Pre-Requisites: This qualification is available to those over 16 years. Learners should be at least a level 2 numeracy and literacy or equivalent. Learners under the age of 16 can complete the qualification, however, employers should not rely on those under 16 to be a lone first aider. Some pre-course work may be required.
Learners must hold a current (12 hour) paediatric first aid certificate that meets the requirements of the EYFS. It is strongly recomended that the certificate still has two years validity left.
Progression route: Learners may progress onto the following qualifications:
- QNUK Level 3 Award in Responding to Anaphylactic Reactions (RQF)
- QNUK Level 2 Award in Safeguarding and Protecting Children and Young People (RQF)
- QNUK Level 2 Award in Awareness of Young People's Mental Health (RQF)
- QNUK Level 3 Certificate for Forest School Leaders (RQF)
