QNUK's Fire Qualifications
In the UK over 1000 people are injured each year, due to workplace fires. Each workplace is therefore required to undertake a fire risk assessment. This assessment will aim to identify the potential causes of a fire in the workplace and establish controls to reduce the risk of a fire starting and reducing the risk of how it may affect people.
Employers are also required to ensure that their staff have suitable training. All staff should have some form of fire awareness training. In some workplaces there will be a requirement for trained fire marshals.
QNUK has developed two fire qualifications in order to meet this training need.
Our Fire qualifications include the following:
Qualification title: QNUK Level 1 Award in Fire Awareness at Work (RQF)
Qualification accreditation number: 603/0710/9
Description: This qualification is aimed at supporting employers to meet their need to provide fire awareness training to staff.
Qualification title: QNUK Level 2 Award in Fire Safety for Fire Marshals (RQF)
Qualification accreditation number: 603/0711/0
Description: This qualification is aimed at those required to undertake the role of a fire marshal in the workplace. The qualification builds on the QNUK Level 1 Award in Fire Awareness in the workplace (RQF)
Qualification title: QNUK Level 3 Award in Fire Risk Assessment (RQF)
Qualification accreditation number: 603/2073/4
Description: This qualification is aimed at those undertaking fire risk assessments in low risk, non complex businesses. The qualification follows the principles of fire risk assessment as outlined in the Fire reform (Fire safety) order 2005. Those attending will benefit by having some fire safety knowledge.
