Who is this for? This qualification has been developed by QNUK to enable trainers who hold the necessary teaching, conflict management and assessing qualifications alongside the occupational experience and competence to be able to deliver the QNUK Level 2 Self Defence training, subject to:
1. Holding the QNUK Level 2 Award in Self Defence (RQF) qualification
2. An annual licence to deliver the QNUK Level 2 Self Defence issued from a QNUK approved model/system*

Pre-Requisites: Learners must be aged 18 and over.
Learners must hold:
• a recognised level 3 first aid qualification (must include paediatric elements)
• a recognised safeguarding qualification (level 2 minimum)
• a recognised mental health first aid qualification (minimum Level 1 awareness)
Learners must provide evidence of insurance to deliver self-defence training
Learners must have sufficient command of the English language to understand and undertake the recommended assessment methods for this qualification.

Progression route: Learners may progress onto the following qualifications:

  • QNUK Level 3 Award in Understanding Security Management (RQF)
  • QNUK Level 3 Award in Security Management (RQF)
  • QNUK Level 3 Award in Retail Loss Prevention (RQF)
