Why was my application rejected?
QNUK is a regulated Awarding Organisation specialising in the sectors of health, safety and first aid.
As a regulated Awarding Organisation (AO) we have several responsibilities related to protecting regulated qualifications. One of these is outlined in condition C2 – arrangements with centres. Our application process enables us to undertake our due diligence in regard to the centres who will offer or continue to offer our qualifications.
With each application or re-application, we consider a number of factors, these include, but are not limited to:
- Size and complexity of the centre
- Resources available
- Previous experience with regulated qualifications
- Notifications from other awarding organisations
- Compliance with best practice
- Previous cases of malpractice, maladministration, sanctions or compaints
- Financial risk – likelihood of non-payment
- Staffing risks
- Risks to our brand and compliance with the conditions or recognition
- Likelihood of unreasonable burden on our resources/staffing
- Alignment with our company values
With each of these considerations we make an informed decision whether this business relationship is one that we want to enter into and would be beneficial to us both.
